All students are responsible for writing their nightly homework down in their agenda. Please check to ensure they are doing their homework and they have written down. It is important to encourage them to become responsible for knowing and completing their homework. Remember all reading, vocabulary, and spelling tests are on Day 6 in our cycle. We will start a new story on Day 1. Listed below are assignments that students should be working on every night.
Daily Homework Reading Every night students should be reading for 20 minutes. They have a reading calendar for each month that is due at the of the month. Your student should be recording the number of pages they read each night on their calendar. Each month there is a new goal for how many pages to read. Please help to remind them of this assignment and to write down their pages each night.
Spelling/Vocabulary Students should also be studying their spelling and vocabulary words each night. The words for both lists correspond with our story of the week. Please check their homework folder on Day 1 to find the new list of words for the week.

Students will have some type of math assignment each night to help reinforce the math skills they are learning in class. This assignment should be found in their homework folder and written down in their agenda.
